Maintenance Tips
Although the Strata Corporation is responsible for maintaining the common areas of the building, it is each owner’s responsibility to maintain their suite in good repair.
From time to time we will post information that may assist owners in fulfilling their obligations. Building staff cannot assist with repairs or maintenance required in your suite: owners should call upon qualified trades as necessary.
General Maintenance Tips
In-Suite Digital Thermostat Settings: The digital thermostat in your unit has been programmed to the “auto” setting. Please do not adjust or change this setting. The system will automatically call for heat at 20.5 C (69 F) and 22.0 C (72 F) for cooling. Cold Season Coming – Heat Pump Tips: When switching from cooling to heating, sometimes it may appear as if your heat pump is defective. Re-setting the heat pump a few times usually solves the problem.
Heat Pumps & Condensate Drain Lines: A pipe connects your heat-pump to the drain below a sink in your suite; it can become clogged and cause condensate water to leak into the ceiling causing stains and damage.
Bathtub/Shower Cartridge Leaks: If you see water leaking from your bathtub/shower faucet handle, BEWARE: water is also leaking inside the wall and can water cause damage to neighbouring suites.
